Description

Welch Allyn Hard Eartips (extra large), part number 5079-113, are durable replacement eartips designed for use with Welch Allyn Harvey DLX and Harvey Elite stethoscopes and other compatible Welch Allyn professional stethoscopes. The hard, extra-large tips provide secure positioning in the ear, clear acoustic transmission and long service life, making them suitable for everyday use in busy clinical environments.

Usage

Ensure the stethoscope is clean and dry before changing eartips.
Firmly pull the existing eartips straight off the metal binaurals, taking care not to bend or damage the tubing or metalwork.
Align the open end of the new hard eartip with the metal post on the binaural and push firmly until it is fully seated and secure.
Gently twist and pull to confirm that the eartip is securely attached and will not come off during normal use.
Repeat for the second side, ensuring both eartips are oriented correctly and matched in size and type.
Clean eartips regularly with a mild detergent or approved disinfectant wipe compatible with stethoscope components; dry thoroughly before use.
Inspect eartips frequently for cracks, hardening, deformation or loss of retention, and replace immediately if any damage or deterioration is noted.

Contraindications

Not suitable for users with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the materials used in the eartips.
Extra-large size may not be appropriate for users with small ear canals or where insertion causes discomfort.
Do not use damaged, deformed or loose-fitting eartips, as they may impair acoustic performance or detach during use.

Adverse Effects
